When damage extends below the surface, filler alone is not enough. Potholes, alligator cracking, failed pavement sections, depressions, and recurring repairs may require patching or removal of the damaged asphalt. Widespread deterioration may call for milling and resurfacing or full-depth asphalt replacement.
This commercial parking lot received a full saw-cut asphalt patch repair. The failed pavement was cut out, removed, replaced with hot-mix asphalt, leveled, and compacted tightly to the surrounding surface.
